VOR nav practice......

Postby CHUCK79 » Sun Aug 21, 2011 12:35 am

.....I wanted to practice VOR navigation (I usually fly just using GPS)
I chose the default Cessna 208 because of it's familiar and easy to use VC.

This flight was from Colville Municipal to Pangborn Memorial in WA.
I used two different VORs and switched halfway there.

Looking down on Dry Falls....that's Mt. Rainier on the far horizon...

Descending into the Columbia River valley

On final....runway in sight.....it's a good thing (notice the low fuel warning lights)...

About to touch down.....

Time to get some fuel (I made it with 9 gallons left) and head for Port Angeles....

Thanks 4 looking :)

All are great, #4 is my favorite..something about the view with the mountains and the runway in sight , just looks awesome!

I like #4 also, but #2 & #3 as well. Great shots Chuck. :)

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.
