Eye in the Sky

The Simviation main page had a new download for FS9, and I haven't flown a heavy in quite some time, so I went and downloaded the Premier Aircraft Downloads E-3D Sentry and had a flight. I can safely say I've now flown and enjoyed the Boeing 707 which is the airframe of the E-3. Slow and steady movements on the stick yielded a very fun, albeit slow flight around Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.

On patrol at 22,000ft because I was too lazy to get to 33,000ft and I don't like the vapour trails 8-).

Still on patrol. Hey Bob, got the coffee ready yet?

Still on patrol... By the Gods, is this the last turn on the pattern yet?

I had to pause the Sim to get this shot. The camera and I were having a disagreement! I kinda forgot how annoying it was to perfectly line up a big heavy like the 707, especially on RAAF Base Amberley's Runway 33. The approach is over a set of random hills that run into each other
.

Touchdown! I'm sure that my nose is waaaay too high, but the tail isn't striking. I checked for scratches afterwards!

Parked on the Tarmac outside the old disused F-111 shelters. 24 F/A-18E Super Hornets will be occupying those shelters next year after the RAAF gets full delivery! Hey Bob! Hide the good coffee before the ground crew finds it and steals it, the cheeky bastards!
Thanks for looking, and comments are always welcome!
