Good afternoon all... :)

Old girl is out with some other nattering nannies so I had some time on my hands...

I did a Disk Clean Up and Defrag after I deleted quite a few aircraft from my FSX Sim Objects.

Great shots Doug :)
I think that your aircraft textures look better than before...........If anti-aliasing doesn't slow you down performance wise, I would turn it back on :)

Very nice Doug. Your water looks great and you chose a really neat aircraft. :)

I think the reason the shots look better when you click on them is the darker background.

Same here! 8-)

Methinks AA on would be a good thing.

B-Valvs may cite you for a jaggie violation otherwise. :D

[color=#0000ff]Hi Doug! I'll toss a couple of cents in the

pot! You must see quite a bit of shimmering in the trees,

water, fences and some jagged edges when you fly.

To cut down on this, a certain amount of AA (anti-aliasing)

and AS (anisotropy)

must be used in computer graphics!

The more you use of course, the more of a performance hit!

Your trick, my trick, everybody's trick is to find the balance between what looks good and what flies good.

And since there are infinite computer specs, graphic cards,

cpu's and memory, to mention a few, there are infinite

configuration possibilities.

I'm sure you have done this, but in the graphics options section of FSX try

checking "Anti Aliasing" and your filtering to "Anisotropic"

Make sure your Nvidia Control panel allows the sim to

control both AA and AS. I would experiment to see how

this might improve your graphics!

One thing Doug, and I'm sorry for not thinking to tell you before now. If running AA gives you performance problems, then leave it off until you see a shot you'd

like to take, pause the sim, turn AA on, take your shot, turn AA back off, and continue with your flight. You don't need many frames per second to take

a shot while the sim is paused, plus it gives you more time to find the optimum angle. Hope this helps. :)

Thanks Larry...you are a walking encyclopedia when it comes to these things... ;)
