Did you notice my cowl flaps were opened, maybe I should have closed them at this high speed,
but there was not a neutral position switch like my P-47? :-?

Good morning Greg... :)

Wish my father was around as he was with a Military Unit that Test Flew almost all Allied and Axis Aircraft after the Second World War.

Thank you for the info! I know that engine temps can make or break your entire flight! Some models of my Spitfires
I fly for instance, although no cowl flaps are involved, require you be airborne within seven or eight minutes tops before the engines will severely overheat!
The P-47 I fly requires the cowl flap switches be positioned to neutral the entire flight unless of course the temps cool or heat, then you must open or close accordingly!
Of course I'll never be a real world pilot, the closet I've come to being one was back in the 1980's
