Reunion Island!

Postby pfevrier » Sun Apr 03, 2011 4:20 pm

Is definitely a sight to see. A French territory located east of Africa in the middle of the Indian Ocean, it is often compared to Hawaii due to its tropical climate and massive volcanoes. Two volcanoes dominate the island, rising at 8,632ft and 10,070ft! One of the them is extinct, the other often active with its last eruption being January 2nd, 2010.
Here are a few shots of this French tropical paradise, enjoy!

Great shots Pierre. :)

I seem to remember something about some freeware scenery for that a good while back. Is that it, or is that payware? And where did you get it?

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

Unfortunately it's payware. But it looks well worth it. It's available at FSPilotshop.com. Just go to Fspilotshop.com and search Reunion Island. Then it'll say France VFR - La Reunion. That's Reunion Island

Mealytitan is right on! France VFR at it again! A lot of their stuff are FS9 portovers, but they still work pretty well with FSX. Like any other photoscenery, above 5,000ft looks best... But I love what they do, it allows me to fly above the territories of my home country  ;D

Yeah, as an afterthought, I did a search after I posted and found it. But thanks. :)
