Inalakleet

Postby U4EA » Thu Feb 03, 2011 1:36 am

The 8-part Alaska airport scenery can be found right here at SimV.
Starts here: http://simviation.com/1/browse-Scenery-63-15
Contnues here:   http://simviation.com/1/browse-Scenery-63-14

Although a time consuming install, looks awesome!  There's a lot of cool stuff at a lot of the airports.  Unalakleet has a lot more that can't fit in the pic.

The DC-3 is default FSX.

Cool shot. Thanks for the heads up on the Alaska airport, been looking for more AK scenery. :)

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

I like the color coordination of the Cubs in the background and the DC-3 in the foreground.

Nice shot and good plane. Gonna look into the scenery myself. Shavron Air flys all over Alaska. I'm sure its one of our stops.

I highly recomend the all 8 parts.  The pain in the tailfin part is that each folder (airport) has to be extracted and C&P'd into the add-on scenery folder, THEN, ya gotta do the 'add area' thingie.

But it does end up being very worthwhile!

The airport choice was easy, it was the aircraft choice part that I mulled over with a dozen or so screenies.  First was Tweto's 182 (very cool freeware here at SimV), then it was the Henderson/Alrot 310 (another awesome craft, also here at the V), but I settled on the DC-3 cause I've been "touring" a lot of the Alaska stops in it.

Thanx y'all for the nice C&C! :)

Think twice Larry.

Corrupt Scenery File. I downloaded this file three times and when I unzipped it I get a corrupt file warning. Can someone check this file out and repair it?

[left][font=Comic Sans MS][color=#0000ff]It's the little details that capture my attention in this shot. The sun reflecting off the back windows of the yellow plane mover thingys for example...awesome shot!

I reckon the caveat "....your results may vary...." would be fitting here.
