Watchin' the History Channel........

It wasn't the first time I saw this documentary on the History Channel about Lt. Colonel James Doolittle and the Tokyo Raiders but, it did remind me that I saw some recent posts featuring this incredible freeware B-25 by Roy Chaffin (which were great and led me to download it myself). I'm certainly not the first, and surely won't be the last to say this but, well done Mr. Chaffin. This is a great plane :)

Here's the best I could do to recreate the action on that morning of April 18, 1942

Very beautiful shots of a historic event. But the one thing that caught my eye about it......the D-Day Stripes haha.

Thanks :)
Sorry for the inaccuracy. I didn't take the time to look for correct re-paints.

Other than the paint schemes, there is one other inaccuracy.  The aircraft in the Doolittle raid did not form up for the attack.  They did not have enough fuel to wait around for all the aircraft to get airborne.  Each aircraft immediately turned on course, and made individual attacks.  They each had different targets as well.

As always Chuck your shots look great.... :)

Looking for more eggbeater shots from you... ;D

You know those flying funny machines with the prop or props on the top and make a wop wop wop sound.

I think they are really a million parts all flying in unison looking for a place to have an accident.... ::)     ;D

Then there is those suck and blow jobs that don't have any props at all...egads...I wonder how they get into the air???? ;D

Well Chuck keep up the great work, always like looking at your shots... ;)

Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug
