Touch and Go, Launceston, Tasmania

Postby Spindrift » Wed Jan 12, 2011 8:09 pm

Everybody and his brother has the Orbx AuBlue Demo, but I still thought these shots were special enough to share... This is where I'm a "Virtual Rutan 61 Long-EZ owner". ATC, Long runway and nice GA ammenities. I also love Orbx's freeware aussie traffic. Runs surprisingly well!

watching the AI make a steep (yipe!) approach and bumpy (omph!) landing. I'm in GA parking, just above the 172's left wing...

Gotta love the colorful line-up of aircraft parked on the apron! all real AI traffic too! Not static!

Thanks for looking! C+C welcome! 8-)

Nice shots. :)
Makes we want to do some flying down there, it's been a while. I have the Rutan for FS9 but have not tried to see if it works in FSX or looked for an FSX version. It's a nice little bird.

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

Great shots! The Rutan is something not often seen around here, so it is nice to see something different!

Funny, I just so happened to fly out of Launceston last night! Didnt happen to see an F7F takeoff, did ya?  ;)
My specs... A hard drive, motherboard, graphics card, some memory, a keyboard, mouse, and monitor - in other words, nothing special.

Thanks Larry, I have the Alphasim Rutan 61 for FSX, however I don't know what the situaton is with them... wonder if it will be made available as freeware? :-? anywho, it does seem to be a rare bird... I'll try to feature it more for you guys!

@Skunkworks - You're making me want to dust of that movie!!  :D :D :D

@GtiRob01 - the Tigercat? yeah I was the little white-winged fool lined up on 32L, after take-off you would have seen me somersalting in your wake...  :D ;D
