Re-supply run

Postby CHUCK79 » Tue Jan 11, 2011 5:58 pm

Inspired by Patchz' post "Return to Bear Camp Research"
Delivering some supplies (and some wobblypop) to Squamish and then on to the Bear Camp Research Facility in beautiful British Columbia.

It's little out of season but, I opted for the C185 amphib for this flight :)
Although you can't see it,  I took off from Indian Arm floatplane base near Vancouver B.C.

Looking down a valley toward Squamish...

Leaving CYSE after making my drop-off....

Crossing a small ridge to get into the right valley.....
Image
This small lake is my landmark to let me know which valley to fly up.

It's just right through here.......you're pretty comitted after this point.

Here it is...slow down...only 600 feet to stop in.
Image
About to set down and really utilize those brakes....

Lets get this stuff unloaded......Patchz was right, landing here makes you thirsty ;)

Thanks 4 looking :)

[color=#000000]Great shots Chuck. :)
Never thought one would be able to land there in an amphibian.

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

I bet ol' Chuck could probably land anything at Bear Camp Research for a tall cool glass of Wobbly Pop!  [smiley=beer.gif] Great stuff, Love the last one!
