Another important detail is the general color/brightness of the interior of the cockpit in the external view. In the screenshot above, it's very clear. Even with interior lights turned on, I don't think it should appear so clear, excepted during night maybe.
If you take a look at this picture:
http://media.defenseindustrydaily.com/i ... ely_lg.jpg... you will notice that the interior looks very dark in daytime. This also participates to the realistic look of the plane, together with the canopy.
Now I'm trying to find a good picture to give you an example for the canopy...

However, on the top of the canopy, the glass creates a reflection that helps distinguish the shape of this canopy. This same effect can be seen on the VRS F-18 Super Hornet as well. If you could modify your canopy material to make it look like that, that would make it match the quality of your external model and textures.
