Looking good. I'm sure it will fly even better with a canopy ;)

Yes I see the canopy. It is way too transparent and clear as it is now. It looks like there is none, which is bad. I guess you should increase a little bit its reflectivity, and you should paste a texture on it, a transparent texture that would give some colored reflectivity to make this canopy more visible/consistent, and give it a more realistic look as well.

Another important detail is the general color/brightness of the interior of the cockpit in the external view. In the screenshot above, it's very clear. Even with interior lights turned on, I don't think it should appear so clear, excepted during night maybe.
If you take a look at this picture:

... you will notice that the interior looks very dark in daytime. This also participates to the realistic look of the plane, together with the canopy.

Now I'm trying to find a good picture to give you an example for the canopy...

EDIT: found a good one:

So, the canopy is much more clear and transparent than I though. However, on the top of the canopy, the glass creates a reflection that helps distinguish the shape of this canopy. This same effect can be seen on the VRS F-18 Super Hornet as well. If you could modify your canopy material to make it look like that, that would make it match the quality of your external model and textures.

On the first shot you can see the reflection on the edge, similar to the real Cheetah picture above. On the second one, you can see what happens when the sun gets reflected.

Thanks, Daube,

Something always bothered me, and couldn't lay my finger on it, but I will re map the canopy, and see how it goes!
Thanks for all the research and info! APPRECIATE IT!
