the cabin would look incredible. but i think there's not enough space for the engine, unless it's a very small engine. keep up the good work!

I wouldn't say there is any problem. The shape looks very accurate. Here's a cut away view of the MD600N, showing the engine size.

PS: The model keeps looking better and better!!  :)

How many polys you up to on the model so far? Looks very high quality.

Also, I don't know if you had noticed this detail and planned on adding it in, but there's a little bump under the exhaust outlet:

EDIT: I've added the MD600N to the news page on my website, http://fsrotorcraft.webs.com

Thanks guys for the nice comments and support...keeps me going lol when I feel like pulling all my hair out! :)

I am not too worried about the poly count at the moment as I will rebuild it in 3dsmax 2011 and use the Pro Optimiser /poly cruncher to reduce the count before exporting back in 3dsmax 9...but will keep it within limits( keeping in mind the interior and detail still needs doing)...

Thanks mdflyer...I have noticed the outlet bump and have added it...then took it off as it was not quite right...will refine the shape a bit then add it back again...

cheers

Thanks guys..Raptorf22, Applepie Jlab58 and Groundbound1 for the great comments.. ;D

Am working on the new rotor head/assembly tonight...its tuff and a bit complex..but sure it can be done after a few more pints!

Groundbound1....regarding FS9 compatability..I have never modelled anything before and only have the FSX SDK...but will look into FS9 after the FSX model is finished and problem free.. ;)

THIS IS YOUR FIRST MODEL?!!?? :o :o :o And you've done that much in only a few days? YOU sir have TALENT!!! No joke! Even if you don't make one for FS9, let me be the first to say, on behalf of the entire FS community, THANK YOU!

I wasn't concerned about the poly count. Just want to know where you're at.  ;)
