Mainly checking framerates and found them about half normal over the trees then I noticed sliders all the way right on autogen so that probably didn't help.

I often vary the Autogen sliders around, not to vary the Frame Rates, but to select the amount of Autogen to more accurately represent the area I am flying over, together with VOZ Textures (colours)...
For example: California Central Valley, and Nevada, in the Summer/Autumn when its often dry and dusty, with little vegetation around, I wind the sliders back and use VOZ "Eastern Textures".....
For Northern California and Oregon, the Autogen sliders will be increased, (more vegetation), and VOZ "Northern Textures" are used (green).

Its surprising a difference it makes to create more realistic scenery down below!

Normally I'm fairly conservative with autogen but when pausing for a screenshot, I crank them wide open.  Most of the payware scenery doesn't look as good if you don't.
