Flying the Alps

I planned a trip to find and fly over the famous mountains of the Swiss Alps. Google Earth is helpful in locating the mountains and giving the headings and mileage for planning the trip. The map in the aircraft can be used to validate the location ( longitude & latitude readings) of the mountains. I took off from Scion, Switzerland ( LSGS ) landed at Interlaken, Switzerland (LSMI). Many of the airports are beautifully set in deep valleys. Thanks for looking. Cheers, Mike
Mt. Blanc is the highest mountain in the Alps at 15,782' located under the aircraft's right wing.

The Matterhorn has a distinctive triangle tip summit, shown under left wing.
My favorite, the Eiger North Face in the background, remember the movie "The Eiger Sanction" with Clint Eastwood. Some will remember it was 1975.
