Memories of a Goshawk

I once worked at Lovell Field in Chattanooga, TN fueling jets, helicopters, and aircraft of all sorts. Every once in a while, a group of T-45s would fly in from Pensacola NAS for gas and lunch. While they were suiting up in their G suits getting ready to leave, we would ask them to show us "a little something" on their way out. These trainer jets used by the U.S. Marines and Navy may not seem like much, but their engines have the rumble and concussion type of sound that an F-18 does. When they took off, they would keep their noses down to pick up speed before pulling back on the stick to a 70 degree climb with a noise so loud that I'm sure it woke up all of Chattanooga, TN. It sure was exciting to watch!

This shot gives me the feeling that I'm the wingman, looking on at my partner.
Very nice mood, and the light reflections on the plane look great.  [smiley=thumbsup.gif]
