For those who never knew or even cared that the RAF used L4 cubs.

Perhaps used as Base Hacks.

I remember when we used the T33s/T Birds for Base Hacks in the RCAF.  Oh how things have changed... ;D

That colour scheme looks like one of the "Flitfire" Cubs used for fund-raising in the USA during WWII. I don't think they actually served with the RAF or they would have been painted in standard camo. Interesting history here. http://www.als-cannonfield.com/Flitfire.htm

By coincidence I saw a Cub in RAF markings at a fly-in yesterday. FR886 was one of 5 L-4Bs delivered for evaluation purposes although this is not the original aircraft. Here's a photo. http://www.simviation.com/yabbuploads/da_MG_3069bri.jpg
