My husband went on a business trip to Hong Kong, and so it inspired me on my single bachelorette weekend to do a crazy 16 hour VHHX-KORD direct. My longest direct flight yet (and the sunrise over NE Russia was gorgeous!):

Ugh, taking off towards the hills with a 747 fully loaded with fuel :-/

15.5 hours, 4 meals, 4 movies, and 3 rounds of drinks served, and a missed approach later....

I love Chicago!

And for the sillies who always ask: No, I did not sit there and stare at the monitor for 16 hours

. I started it after dinner, and went downstairs and watched a movie and did some online shopping on another laptop, went to sleep, got a jog in, and THEN landed before lunch the next day

obviously you know how to manage the computerized flying systems on that plane. good for you. the # 3 look terrific to me. good job.

What impresses me most,
is that you have a computer that will run FSX with all those high quality addons,
and with great looking graphics,
for 16 HOURS!!

Hi Shane,

That was only after we upgraded to Windows 7 and added more memory. What a huge difference -- in fact, during yesterday's flight, I had to pause FSX and access some work documents for a few minutes, and went back to flying without a problem.

But, I spoke too soon. I went away on a short 1.5hr commuter flight tonight and came back and saw it was back in the desktop >:(

with some funky message. Ugh.
