New King o' the Corn Field

AN-225

No real need for insectacide, this massive hunk of metal simply scares 'em to death.

More "duster" fx needed, and some tweakage on possition, knocked out the engine smoke to save on frame rates.

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

I believe it is, since it's .dds format (Pain in the ...mumble, mumble...).  It will probably be a few days, likely Saturday or so before it's ready.

Hi Roy... :)

Get well.

I have had the privilege of being guided through several of the USSRs heavy haulers and several of their helicopters as well.

Antonov...AN-225...2 produced
Antonov...AN-124...25+produced
Ilyshin......IL-76.....680 produced

They make one tough aeroplane and worthwhile for anyone to make an effort to see if they can.

i would love to see an an-225 that low... there was an IL-76 at YVR 2 weeks back
Carriers would be so mush easier to land on if they would just stop turning!!!

wouldnt any aircraft flying that low reguardless of what it was doing, have its gear down just in case it lost "lift" and 'crash landed'??? It would have its gear down so as not to damage the craft itself, but just land and hopefully not be in the middle of an Apple, Orange, or Pear orchard.

No Capt.Propwash .  You would not want the gear down in case of striking the ground.  If you did contact, the speed and weight of the aircraft would have you dig in hard, ripping the gear off, and maybe cartwheeling the aircraft around, ending up in an unservivable crash.  If only the belly contacted, it would still be bad, more likely skidding to a stop, the fuselage may brake up but not as badly as if the gear was down.
