Hopping about the Islands of Australia

Postby Flying Trucker » Tue Feb 23, 2010 4:36 pm

Good afternoon all... :)
Thought I would do a short hop from Injinoo to Coconut Island, Queensland, Australia in a Beech 18 Amphibian.
Flying over several islands:
Injinoo>Horn Island "HID">Kubin Island "YKUB">Badu Island "YBAU">Warraber Island "YWBS">Coconut Island "YCCT"

FSX & Vista
FS Water Configurator
Beech 18 Amphibian

Something about that Beech just screams "Millenium Falcon"... lol ;) I love Flying in Tasmania, especially with the Orbx free demo.

That's a popular bird on this forum.  Shows her years a little but with grace and dignity and probably has lots of good hours left in her.

[color=#000000]Nice shots Doug. And you know I love the aircraft.

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

Goodly morning all... :)

Thanks for the comments folks and I am still looking for that perfect sky texture at sunrise or sunset.

It just seems to be beyond my grasp.

I am trying to remember what Daube mentioned to me about keeping the focus of the picture on either the aircraft or scenery I think, but not both.  Picture #3 for example.  I had an idea in my head what I wanted to show but the picture did not do that for me.
I am finding that very difficult to do, perhaps trying to get to much information in a picture.
I wanted to show the aircraft departing down the runway with an idea of what the pilots would be looking at.

I also found it hard to believe there were no seaplane bases in Australia...hmmm....our youngest son has flown flying boats and seaplanes in Australia...will have to bend his ear a little.

Think back on some of your favorites from real flying.

Thanks for the tips on the clouds fine sir...should have thought of that myself... :)

Anymore I pinch myself before I get out of bed to see if I am still alive and should shower, shave and shampoo... ;D

Is "REX" freeware or payware and what does it actually do?

When you speak of "Photo filters" where would I adjust those.
I use Light Bloom and I forget what the other one either above or below that is but I try those.

I am wondering about my Video Card, it is a good one, I think it was designed for FSX.
