Had to resize a number of times... ;D

Off the power...Off the step.

Not at all happy with these two shots, had to change settings in BDSizer three or four times and now have lost clarity...seem to be getting worse instead of better.

Will take another look at Doug's settings in BDSizer.

Comments and advice most welcome.

Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug

Your autogen level is awesome!
Do you use any addon trees or are these default?

Can you explain this Doug? You should always work from the master shot. Every time you open & save a compressed image like a JPEG it will affect the quality.

These two appear to have bad JPG artifacts. Look at the sky in both shots. It has a grid effect which I've never seen before. This might be caused by resizing a JPEG several times or the very graphics intensive subject being over-compressed.

Okay Doug thanks.

I have just downloaded the same version of BDSizer you are using and have set my settings to what yours show.

I see what you mean by the sky and yes I resized from the resized several times instead of the original shot.  I guess that is what you mean by over compressed.

When my settings were at 800 instead of 1024 which they are now I had no problem posting five or six shots but the last two above shots at 1024 kept giving me a warning of too large of a file, the upload would accept one picture but not both so I resized again which is why the two above shots are different sizes.  Of course like I said above I resized from the picture which was already resized not thinking about the mess I was creating.

Oh my I think I am going to get pooped on from Daube on this one.... ;D

What a learning experience.   :)    ;)

It is a lot easier to fly the real aircraft than to do all this.   ;D

Again thanks for the help Doug.

Will have another go at it.    ;)

Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug

Doug. If the BD Sizer "Restrict Size" option is set to 150 Kb the image should be saved below that limit. You could set it at 149 Kb to be on the safe side. From what you're saying I suspect the artifacts were caused by resizing saved images rather than working from the original.

The shots you posted in Part 1 are much better.
