Those two must definitely be too dark, but I wanted to check how it looked like during full night. It was a little while since I flew the An-225. I just forgot how good this model was, and how pleasant the VC was !  8-)

I'm having fun editing all those planes, I tell you  ;D

WOW...wonderful...I actually like the 3rd shot the best, now why can't I do pictures like that?    :)

Maybe I should go back to school to learn these electronic gizmoes...HMMMM....wonder if there is a class for over seventy year olds?    ;D

Well done Daube... ;)

Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug

Thanks you for the nice comments, gentlemen :)

Doug, there is a little secret, a simple action that instantly adds a lot of depth to any of your shots: the visibility in the weather settings.

In my shot, I went to the advanced weather settings, and I set two distinct things:

- for the clouds, I created a layer of Cirrus clouds at high altitude (like, 30.000 feet or something like that). Ok, these are not so visible in my shot, but daytime, they really make a difference. Of course, I have installed the HDE Cumulus and Cirrus textures in my FSX, they work well (but the rest of the package does NOT work) and they look just amazing.

- for the visibility, I created a visibility layer from the ground to 10.000 feet, set to 60 kms more or less (I don't remember the exact numbers). Instantly, the background scenery appears much more realistic. Some haze appears between the distant mountains, and they give you this feeling of volume, of distance, that is completely missing in pure clear weather.

Finally, I set the flight time to dawn. There, the magic lighting happens ;)

I love the 3D lights on the Antonov. Excellent shots. The atmosphere is great.

Thanks you all for the nice comments :)

I was afraid that the last two would be too dark, but in the end I love them a lot, the plane is impressive and the darkness masks a little bit the video-game-impression.

Is there a specific tutorial for the lights? They do look extremely impressive. Again, the Antonov shot looks fab.

I was about to ask that to you, Applepie !
I have already made some presentation topics on the french FS forums, but I didn't do anything on the english speaking forums, because I thought you would handle it.
