Super Tweet

[color=#000000]The Dragonfly. What little I flew the Cessna A-37 was a long time ago, with little or no experimentation. When I booted up FS9 to try out F1 for camera positions, I was strolling through the hangar and decided I would fire up Super Tweet again. One thing led to another and I found out it is extremely difficult to stall this thing. I put it into a vertical climb and when I got it balanced straight vertical, went hands off. When speed bled off it nosed over as expected, just not nearly as much. It flew exactly as shown, losing about 2500' per minute for about five minutes, completely hands off. At about 1500' I took the controls again and nosed over to level flight. Speed picked back up and you would never know anything had been wrong. I'm still amazed. I also looked it up on Wikipedia as I had little knowledge of it. You might find it an interesting read.

Civilian version. Very shiny.

Oh yeah. I completely forgot about F1. Guess I'll have to do that next flight.

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

[color=#000000]No, I did it to show the speed as well as the smoke to show the loss of altitude even though the attitude seemed to be climbing. And then there's the stall
