There is just something about those old twin radials that really makes me love to watch . . .

Thanks  :)

It's slow coming, but getting close.  As mentioned earlier.. since the SDK includes DC3 Gmax source files.. I'm "borrowing" that VC. It's pretty close in spirit, and nearly identical in function,, AFTER I've spent nearly as much time working on it, as I would have just building a   VC  >:( ;D

I've gotta add pilots.. some details.. and flight-test it extensivley.. prob another couple weeks.

Up at KSAW to use the 12,000 foot runway for run-ups, high-speed taxi testing, and takeoff speed test-runs.. (I won't take a model "up", until I'm reasonably sure it will survive the flight  :D  )

Hello Chums...

Has anyone got a Wikipedia link to Brett's Aircraft, to obtain the Make, Model, and specifications, etc....

I tried Googling it, but I don't know the make of the Aircraft, ...Boeing?

Tail-dragger?...Tricycle?

Paul...;)...!

Ta, Doug... [smiley=thumbsup.gif]...

"Convair 440"

Tricycle.

Couldn't find a specification of it anywhere though...Engines; Make, Model, etc...;)...

Paul... 8-)...!

Edit: Engines; Pratt and Whitney R-2800-CB-16?

Picked one up from here....FS2002 Model... http://simviation.com/fs2002props45.htm

Actually.. it's a 340.  It started out in Gmax life as a 240.. but I was too far into it, when I realized it had 340 wingspan and length.

The 440 has the longer nose, but as I've learned, there are some long-nosed 340's floating around too. Not to mention that this project started out while I was at Rickenbacker AFB, and saw a bunch of "Convairliners"  still in active freight service, and learned that aside from wingspan and engine type, there are so many hybrids that, that the onl thing that you can be TRULY sure of, is that a turbo-prop means it's NOT a 240 or a 340..LOL

ANYway.. for dimensions, nose-shape, engine HP, and performance.. this is a Convair 340 .. based on this model (listed as a 240, but actually a 340)

http://www.airliners.net/photo/Continen ... f0cc66e82f

No matter the conflicts.. I'm taking modeler's license, and calling it a 340 ..  :D

EGAD !  I got so lost in other parts of this project, that I didn't realize how  "off"  the nose and cockpit area are.  :-?

It's more of modern jet look..

Back to the Gmax dungeon  :D

(see ya in a month  :P
