Did a short flight in Mexico from Mexico City to Cancun, but it would turn out to be a very special flight..

Can you spot the Boeing 757 in this SS? Bullsh*t weather at MMMX.

Image

After a long taxi to the runway, the two 40,000 pound thrust Pratt & Whitney 2040s roared to full thrust on the runway and after a very quick climb I was over the clouds.

Image

Cruising REALLY high above the ocean...

... but how high? Click this link to figure out.

Heh, that's right! Well enough the two PW2040s were roaring, but the 757 is not meant to fly that high. XP This turned out to be an unrealistic flight. xO

On descent into Cancun. The plane in front of me is a Mexicana A320 that would cause trouble to me.

Image

Here's the drill with the MX 320: I slowed down as much as I dared (about 130 kts) and this idiot couldn't move his butt! So I got the ONE ATC message I hate so much: "UPS 975 Heavy, go around."

Image

Finally, after being sent on a looong trip, I was told to turn back and land. FINALLY! Seconds from touching down.

Image

I taxied to a parking spot close to the fuel box, shut down, and unloaded the pilots and the cargo.

Now for continuing on my next flight OpenSkies B752WL LHR-JFK. (ANOTHER 757-2 flight? I'm going crazy. But the 757 is such a sleek beautiful aircraft, it'll go.)
And yes, i'm an A330 man, but the 757 is nice too. :P

Hope you enjoyed.

My compliments on the shots. I havn't seen a livery that looks bad on the 757.

Have you tried out the Air Force 2 yet?
