I had to do an entire system reinstall yesterday, Windows and all.


 Which means that the last two years worth of tweaking and adjusting to my sims is gone.

So after installing each, I thought I would grab a couple of shots in their default state, to compare to later.

Using realworld weather & time.

As much as I dreaded doing it, it was worth it. My sims are so much smoother at the moment, and this time around, my FSX install will remain FS9 addon free. Only 'True' FSX material is going in.


Let the new journey begin.

Some time ago, I had contracted a trojan, (it was sneaky enough to get by AVG, Spybot, Malwarebytes, and Adaware. )

At first it totally wiped out my IE & windows search, and then spread out from there.

I had to use Google Earth's web browser feature to get on the internet to download and install firefox, which worked ok for a while, but yesterday finally fell victim to the virus.

So with no way remaining to log on to the web, I did the deed.



Moral of the story:  Make sure you trust the site you get your FS addons from.

Dam!!!  What a bummer. It happened to me also back about two years ago. What a job getting back to normal. I now scan everything I download. Also have most everything backed up on a 1000GB external hard drive.
