Short hop

Postby FlyingPerson » Sun Feb 15, 2009 3:45 pm

Just did a short 30-minute jump from Heathrow to Manchester with a Jet2 737-300.. flight was smooth, landing.. not so smooth. Climbed to 10,000 and was there for about 7 minutes, then descended to 4,000 and then 1,800. The landing was very, VERY "just on" the runway. (I had barely passed the treshhold before I touched down) ::)
Only problem is, I need way more british AI.. not only rely on my British Airways.. it seemed only a few Jet2 752s, a few DHL 752Fs and some Virgin Atlantic 744s was at EGCC.. Appearantly BA doesen't go to EGCC. At least not in the sim with WOAI AI...

Anyway.

Zooooooooom climb out of EGLL. (When we took off in our 738 in December to Barcelona, it really felt this steep!)

Descending into EGCC. Turning.

And a cool landing view from the Tower. It looks blue because of the clouds :o

At the gate of a empty EGCC.

These aren't my best, I know.. Only liked these a bit. :-/

I really like the 1st one, lots of action, and it looks like you really slammed her down on the runway! ;D

Nice shots. The AI really makes the first one realistic. A bit of a hard landing just to wake up those sleeping passengers, right?  ;D

Of course the landing was not hard.. I just had to pay the Jet2 maintenance group a few... millions.. after getting off.

There you see. Soft as silk!

But seriously, I've never went into landing really much.. I have a few beautiful landings but they're all off the runway, too far down the runway or in the middle of a forest ::)

The passengers can be happy they actually landed at Manchester AIRPORT and not Manchester Downtown ;D

Thanks guys, appreciate it!
