A Few From Today

Postby Brando14100 » Sat Jan 10, 2009 9:22 pm

Here's some shots from today (Sorry the clouds are in front of the rotors, this was orginally a 2004 model before it was updated):

Comments welcome, and I also have a question. This is from the SimV helicopters section. IT comes with a fire retardent effect, but I couldn't figure out how to use it. Does anyone know?

Number two is nice, but I find the last two shots rather basically the same and a bit boring ...

Before you're posting shots always ask your self: "Are these awesome shots? Can I do any better? Would these shots 'WOW' me or are they 'relatively OK? Would they 'WOW' the others?" If the answer is 'YES', then please post them. Else, just please don't post them just for the sake of posting ... please.

Sorry the clouds are in front of the rotors

Then don't post the shot ...

IT comes with a fire retardent effect, but I couldn't figure out how to use it. Does anyone know?

Usually those kind of things are in the file that nobody ever reads :-/

I like the second shot.
This helicopter is nicely detailled, you should not hesitate to get closer to the aircraft for taking some shots, that will provide some nice variation between your various screenshots :)

Also, have you seen on HoverControl.com, there is a new version of this helicopter, a Japanese Coast Guard variant. The model has been edited by another member, who has made nice improvements to the virtual cockpit !

(the 2D panel is still needed to operate the systems and engines, though  :-[ )

I tried to make it so the scloud thing wasn't too noticeable. I thought it passed all those questions, but okay, you're the master.  ;)

I did check the file by the way. It just said it included the effect. No smokesystem effect is on the chopper by the way.

Thanks for telling me about the updated version Daube, I'll look into it.

Thanks for the comments. Learning every minute.
