Landing the dagger in Toronto

This Was not supposed to happen . Just before Touchdown my shoot deployed 6 feet from the ground. It was a Rough landing.

I like the classic bird but never amputate parts of an aircraft that aren't necessary. Unless you're doing an extreme closeup ...

Maybe your airbrake employs the chute?

Great aircraft - i saw on some discovery channel thing the other nite that this thing could be remotley controlled from the ground in the event the pilot 'chickend out' of firing nuclear tipped missiles, or indeed flown home and even landed this way if the pilot was incapacitated - not bad for the late 1950's or whenever!!

Thanks for the advise Harold yes must be my speed brake that brings out the chute.. really caught me off guard as you can tell.
