The first shot is not too bad, need a better angle on the plane, generally, most side on shots and some nose and tail shots are just considered boring, the lack of 'sense of movement and action' and all, the scenery is quite nice, and the lighting is right, some of the clouds look a little unreal, but that's just FSX for ya, when you set the weather, add some wind, and if you're using cloud layers, try using different wind speed and directions in the clouds to get some cool funky shapes to them. If you look at my 'Clipper' shot you'll see what I mean, I waited 10 minutes for the clouds and light to turn just right and when it made me feel fuzzy inside I took the shot.( I know, I'm compulsive! ;) :D) The plane is kinda weird looking to me, might just be the colors scheme, but it does have some great reflections on the bare skin sections.
For the second shot, you're way too close here for the subject and the enviroment of the shot. The model doesn't have enough detail in the right places for this kind of shot and the hangers in the background
kind of blend together into a jumbled mess. When trying this shot again, look at the rocket pods under the wings, see how they look blocky? Back off the zoom until they look round again and try that. ;)
You're getting there, just keep posting and asking for advice, everyone around here is always happy to help if you need it. ;) :)
