Caribbean Hop Leg XII

Leg XII of my Caribbean Hop... 10 months over due. Back to simming again, and this leg illustrates where I left of from Leg XI in Jamaica (home to the world's fastest man and woman). This time we're bound for Havana, Cuba.

At the gates in this lovely Air Jamaica A321, nicknamed "Spirit of May Pen", going through pre-flight checks and loading up on passengers in the early morning.


Turning onto the active runway.


Take off, gear up...


Absolutely beautiful morning for flying... broken clouds, light winds, lovely sunrise... Climbing turn to cruise altitude...


Still climbing to cruise altitude, crossing the northwest Jamaican coast.

Controllers bring me into Havana; descent for approach into the nations main airport.


Short final... Cubana airlines, old and new aircraft both in use.


Touchdown! Welcome to Jose Marti International... enjoy your stay in Cuba...

...and remember smuggling of cigars are illegal if you don't bring me one on your way out!

Leg XIII soon... Cuba to the tourist stuffed Bahamas!

Thanks guys. Had a lot of good shots IMO. Had a tough time leaving out those 2 so i just posted the links to them, because they are something different but not necessarily very pretty, esp. the last. Hopefully folks will take the time to click on them. Gotta find some time to take shots of the playbacks of Legs XIII and XIV. They're already recorded. Will see ya soon.
