Trying to adapt the F-1 to FSX, just took those shots during my tests, wanted to share... you know

For the shadow, I'm not refereing to some huge black shadow like the Mirage F-1 from Kirk Olsson for example

are those shadows on F-1 on the 1st shot just painted on textures?

Yes they are painted. It looks cool seen like this, but when you're flying inverted it looks ridiculous of course. That's why I was recommending you NOT to follow this example, but rather the one of the default cub, a very light shadow, just some slight darkening right around the base of the wing/elevator.
