On 24 November 1964, a squadron of planes including fifteen US Air Force C-130 transports (322nd US Air Force Division.) dropped 550 Belgian paratroopers onto the airfield at Stanleyville (Now Kisangani).

At dawn over Africa.

Target on view. Stanleyville and the mighty (even in FS9) Congo River.

The airfield. They jumped first and secure the airfiled, prior to land.

Jump, Pierre, Jump.....
Over the next two days over 1,800 American and Europeans were evacuated as well as around 400 Congolese. 80 europeans died.
