I forgot to take some of the fuel out, so I had to go in the snow and take off, much like the plane was designed to do.
So much for that airport's ILS!
Bet I can get my C-17 up and off that runway with full flaps without getting in the snow

Nice ... no matter or no idea what these guys are blabbering about

I just like the last two shots ... though number two could've used a bit more zoom.
Keep 'em coming!

No, never got certified for civil use, and whom ever bought it would go bankrupt trying to keep it from breaking. And like the An-124 it would need to carry a collapsible tow bar with it or it would be stuck at certain places during civil operations.

Quite! I recall reading that it suffered cracks somewhere, in the wingboxes? Or somewhere like that? Early in its life and they all had to be 're-winged' or some of them did. Or i might have it totaly wrong and it was somthing else!

The C-5A had issues with the wing box and base of the tail. But was fixed on the C-5B's with the use of titanium and other lighter stronger metals. As soon as I find a camo paint for it, i'll post picks of that beast too.

I like the last one. Cool angle. Reminds me of a fat hawk swooping down on you.
