No 45(R) Squadron, RAF Cranwell

Inspired by Harolds 'Kai Tak' and the 'white flower' series i spent some time this morning around RAF cranwell with the King Air. My aim wasnt to copy, but to produce my own slant on this unique way of presenting screenshots!

I hope you dont mind Harold ;)

I unashamedly use my own repaints of the AFG King Air for these shots.

The scenery is freeware RAF Cranwell from SIMV, the King Air is from AFG, and the sky and weather are provided by FS skyworld.

The King Air B200 is the RAF's newest training aircraft, and i beleive is to replace the aging Dominie.

No.45 Squadron

Our morning sortie begins on the ramp at RAF Cranwell, with two King Airs, ZK451 'K' and ZK454 'N'

Preflight complete, our students taxi to the active...

Take off clearance received, we fly formation off the runway, Positive climb and 'gear up'!

Now at 15,000ft student training is taking place, today a little formation flying, and airways navigation....

I think im at the limit for one post so ill stop there!!!!

Thanks for looking :)

Great shots.

At Cranwell I saw dominies and tutors doing circuits and we got a fly-by from a dominie

I love the aircraft in the first shot... a really nice job.

Really great. I see no harm in learning and adapting a great technique.

Are you kidding?! Not at all!! I consider that a compliment and I'm flattered that I've inspired you ;)

Fantastic screenshot Simon! I love the crispyness and composition in your shots. And the same as John, you really have a very good eye for details!

Keep 'em coming! Looking forward to the US Navy version ;)

Thanks all!. I really enjoyed putting these together, a 'series' is somthing ive not done before!

BTW if anyone does download my repaint, there is another pack coming which corrects the lettering error on the tail and includes the other aircraft in these shots. I uploaded it yesterday to SIMV, so it should appear today i think.....

I think you should point this out to Pete. If it's not fully FSX compatible this could cause some negative comments on your excellent work.
