Fresh Paints
Posted: Fri Apr 25, 2008 9:55 pmHere are some of my repaints for the Vought F4U-1A Corsair and the Grumman F6F-5 Hellcat from CFS2. Both sets were darkened and the Corsair's tail painted the darker blue instead of the middle-light blue that was on it.
Corsair: Noseart purposely overlapping the "kill flags" just for some interest. Mouth stencil was taken from an F-86 Decal sheet I found on the net, the eye was handmade.
Hellcat: The idea was taken from VF-27 of the USS Princeton. Decals hand made. Note that the noseart is a cat-girl drawing because the plane is nicked the Hellcat as we all know. I call this squadron the "MadCats" because of the crazy face and tongue hanging out. ;D
