I booted up FSX yesterday for a short flight in the virgin isles and this is what I got.

This was without messing with any settings or time of day/weather adjustments.  I just had to take some screenshots of this great looking flight. Hope you enjoy.

Yeah, nice pics. :)

A word on lens flare.....
Lens flare is something professional photographers always try to advoid and it is beyond me why many developers include this in their software.
Has bad photography now become an art form?

Perhaps we should also have the option to display pics out of focus, with bad compsition, and bad exposure etc? ;)

Photographers try to avoid it but that means it something that exists in the real world, so that means it has to exist in a sim that is trying to look like real-world stuff.

It's like the light bloom, or the sun reflection on the sea, or the back-light effect. Useless for the sim, usefull for the look.

It is just a matter of personal preference. I, myself, kind of like it, but not everyone will.

I hate lens flare too. I was always trying to work around it and avoid it in my screen shots. Like you say "Keep It Simple"  ;) I also just finally just turned it off.

Thanks, I appreciate it.  The default FSX was treating me well for that flight.
