Hong Kong To Vancouver...Air Canada A340-300

Finally out of Asia for a little while.  Haven't flown the A340-300 for a long haul in quite some time, kinda forgot just how slow a climb this bird has when fully loaded :-/

Taxiing out past a KLM Cargo 747-400 that just landed.
Image
Heading for runway 7R with a Dragonair A330-300 thundering off to...somewhere :-X
Image
Couple hours and a couple step climbs later we are at FL350 heading towards Canada.  Still burning off a little fuel before reaching our final altitude of 37,000.  ETA is 10:00 AM.
Image
Finally making our way down into Vancouver.  Running a little late now.
Image
Cleared for the 26R approach as everything hangs out.
Image
BRAKES...made a pretty smooth landing, arrived at the gate 20 minutes late.

Already plotting my stops for the journey to the east coast, will have mostly short flights under 1.5 hours as my time is getting more and more limited.  Will be re-entering the US somewhere around either MSP, or DTW.  Possibly make a short stop at my FWA home and then off to JFK or EWR.  Depending on the timing its either back to Europe from there or do some short hops around the US for awhile longer.  If Delta has their 777-200LR on the JFK-BOM route I will probably take it since I have yet to log any hours on the LR 8-)

Good screenshots ;). Do you fly somewhere then go from there to another airport so it's a bit like stepping stones? That is what I do and I likey ;D.

Ah, CYVR, my favourite airport, absolutely love it. Closest international to where I live.

Edit: I just saw the text for the approach, 8R? Sure you don't mean 26R?

Thanks :)

Fixed, it was 26R, must have read off the wrong runway on my paper. :P

Occasionally I might hop around in a GA which I haven't done in quite some time.  But all these flights are for my VA.  They don't require you to fly airport to airport but I've always followed that path to keep it somewhat realistic.  Logged 1332 hours with the FTG since June 2004, all my 312 flights have always departed from the same airport I arrived at ;)

How'd you fly it? When I did a Vancouver to Hong Kong in my Cathay 744 it took me around 15 hours, I set the flight going one afternoon, left it all night, woke up and checked on it went to school, came home, had dinner and it was FINALLY time to land.
