Swiss Air DC-10

Postby gtirob01 » Tue Mar 04, 2008 5:42 pm

Short hop from Eglin AFB in Florida to Houston. A bit stormy the whole way, but made for some nice scenery! These are also some more of my first screenshots. What do ya think?

My specs... A hard drive, motherboard, graphics card, some memory, a keyboard, mouse, and monitor - in other words, nothing special.

The second one is cool, but the JPEG compression is set too high and it damaged the quality of the shot.
Which tool are you using for saving your screenshots to the "forum" format ?

That one is also my favorite. I opened the screenshot in photoshop and converted it to JPEG. Didnt make any changes other than the format.

Photoshop ?
Then try to have a look in the options when you save you screenshot. There must be a slider somewhere, once you choose the JPEG format, that allows you to set the compression ratio.

If the compression is too high, the size of the file get smaller, but the quality decreases, just like in your case ! Try increasing that slider a little bit. A compression of 10 to 15% max should to the trick.

Haha, yea... new ac, just getting some flying time locally!

Took a few new screenshots last night of a British Airways 787 going from San Diego to Phoenix. Flight time was right around sunset, so the colors were outstanding! Gonna try to get them uploaded tonight.

cool bird, and cool skies too.
You may also want to consider something like Irfanview to resize (and organise) your screenshots
