Welcome aboard Southwest Airlines

Postby ThomasKaira » Sun Oct 14, 2007 4:24 pm

Me, in a 737?! No...

YES!!!

Image

Dallas Love Airport is indeed a very small airport, at lesat compared to its neighbor (Dallas Ft. Worth Intl) but this is the field where one of my favorite carriers, Southwest Airlines, has called home. As such, with this airline being such a popular one, and one of the best in the US, this airport can get rather busy...

Image

Southwest has many different color schemes for their aircraft, with the gold scheme still being the most popular. Me, well, I prefer this one: Canyon Blue...

Now, you may think Dallas is a big city. It is...

Image

It's HUUUGE!!!

Image

KDAL: small but still a great little place, not only for you prop boys out there who prefer low and slow. (NOTICE: The ONLY reason I fly jetliners in FS is because I really do not like the scenery in FS9 at this point, so I prefer to remain far away from it. Once I get something better, you may find me in the cockpit of my Cessna 210 or Piper Arrow.)

Cheers!

Ah, you bring back great memories, Jet!

I used to live in Dallas, and worked for a company only a mile away from Love Field. Very busy airport is right.

BTW I got to meet Herb Kellerer (the former CEO) of Southwest Airlines at the corporate office. Very nice guy!!

Time to update your Southwest AI traffic.  They stopped flying the -200 models a couple years ago now.  Nice shots BTW. ;)

I am aware. Wait for PAI to make a new pack, or until I get WoAI.

You could do it yourself in about 60 seconds, it's that easy. ;)

They certainly like their 737's. They have over 500 of them!!

Love Field always brings back unhappy memories for me unfortunately - Nov 22nd 1963.

Great shots - they inspired me to take a quick hop in my Canyon Blue Southwest wingletted 737 Experience from Dallas Love down to G Bush Intercontinental in Houston. All passengers safely delivered.

These shots inspired me to download the Southwest Airlines AI file from World of AI. At first I didn't want to, seeing how they're all over the place in real life ::)
