pros:

nice angle, and forgivving the quality it looks pretty in general

cons:

cant see much of the autum colors
the top bar is distracting
the image quality is low- the textures arent brilliant, the file size is tiny

my tips:
when you have the view set up right, go to options/settings and display settings... then bump the textures up to as high as they will go, or adjust till they suit the shot right. the water and aircraft textures could be much better, same with the land

but yeh, for a first time shot, it is certainly better than my first time shot  ;D

best of luck

alienware is overpriced... going custom and building it yourself will be the best option, though can be risky if you are unsure. some places such as cclonline.com offer a 'we build it then ship it' service where you pay for all the parts and choose the prebuilt service for them to make it for you.

also, in the hardware forum there is a stickied thread detailing the best computer specs for FSX (8600GTS 512mb, 500W power supply, 1.87GHz dual core processor and 2gb RAM can run FSX at full spec with quite good frames per second for me though- and thats on vista aswell) but the sticky rates the minimum to be much higher than this.

but good luck, theres something quite special about flying in a realistic environment!

Very true.  Brand of the computer means nothing unless it has the specs to boot.  I wish I had known what I know now when I bought mine.  I would have gone custom and I would have saved a lot of money.

yes very true about alienware. I made the mistake of buying a comp from them. Although not bad comp, still you should buy the parts and then build it yourself. My dad said that he looked up the parts (specific brand and hardware) that alienware uses and said that i could of gotten better parts for a lower price at some place like Newegg than alienware.

Not much more I can add that's already been stated, but I've never been a big fan for that lens glare.

Welcome to the monthly contest.

nf22A: Nice sig. It was mine until last week, when I went over to the dark side with the badgers ::)

@aussiewannabe

it was, i never noticed. i got that quote from Larry The Cable Guy. he has a lot more but i thought that one went along best with flying, aircraft, weasels, eagles etc.
