I got too involved taking screenshots I didn't realize I had climbed to 7000 feet in some of these while testing the engine fire effects.

Easy. Put the gear down, cut the throttle, and point the plane at the fire trucks! ;D

Shut the engine on fire down and in this case declare an emergency with ATC.

I said I was too busy taking shots, but that's no excuse. I was testing the effect to see if momentary screen "white-outs" would occur while displaying these effects. Groundbound1 also mentioned "this effect MAY decide to 'part company' from it's host aircraft during a descent for landing."

Groundbound1, it works! No problems encountered.

Off to make Flyguy35 the proper shot.

Put the gear down

Oh, crap! Didn't think about that one! Would have make an interesting landing had the gear failed.

Edit: Had I seen your remark in the other thread, I would have lowered the gear. Sorry, no fire trucks were available.

I'm glad you read the "readme". It's funny how many people don't. I'll probably re-work fire for "version two" ( ;) ) though. For now though, I hope you like it.

It's the first thing I look at when I download an AC or add-on.

You did a great job. I don't know how you could improve it, but if you can, I look forward to version two. Yes, I like the effect very much.

I wondered about that too. It's my fav prop plane, but when Groundbound was looking for suggestions to test AC, I mentioned it. Should have ask for (although it's now available) for the Beech 18. The last thing Harold would want to see is that AC on fire.

However, a C-45 crashed and burned this past July:

Sorry, Harold. I was heartbroken too :'(

Great effect.  Is that an add-on or something you are working on?
