Great shots.  Love the wing view.

A little bit of compression is evident though.  May I reccomend checking out this thread so you can maximize your shots?

Thank You for the comments.
Well, I guess you are correct. In regards to the enhancement rules, I shouldn't have decreased the resolution as much.

I shouldn't have decreased the resolution as much.

What exactly do you mean by that? Can you explain what you did?

I especially like the free distant feel of the last one ... very nice angle on the clouds, through which you can just see some scenery, and the lighting on the plane is excellent! I think you've got a good eye for drama (you've got some unusual angles), but you really should learn about compression ...

Thank You for your feedback:
In regards to resolution, I am referring to the dpi.

you obviously know something about graphics ... I don't hear to many people here talk about dpi ;)

From what I can understand, is that compression refers to changing a bmp image to a jpeg image.

Not really ... but close. Basically compression is reducing the file size of the image in relation to it's size in pixels. For example, if you have a 800x600 jpg that 'weighs' 500kb and you want to upload it to SimV you should reduce its file size by 400 kb to 100kb. That is done by compressing the image. On the pro side you'll get an image that 'weighs' less but on the con side you lose image quality ... you need to find a balance between the two.

and a small amount of cropping

I generally crop my images. I take raw shots and just cut away the parts that I feel are excessive like a big chunk of runway, grass or sky. I also find this to be a very good way of having an image that is less 'heavy' so reducing its file size is easier ...

I am not aware of any procedures that will change the bmp to jpeg without compressing the image.

Me neither ... jpeg is a technique to reduce file size in relation to the size of the image in pixels.

[quote]I could compress the bmp into another extention such as a gif.
