AI Project Coming Along...But Only Beginning

With the new system there is no more need for lonely skies.  I've seen many packages etc but wanted to begin my own project and hopefully keep the AI somewhat under control.  Basically I am taking an airline and only putting in routes for its daily nonstop flights.  Theres to many other flights that depart and arrive only a few days of the week, or have fuel stops, it could lead to some days being massively overcrowded or virtually empty.  To relieve congestion of to many extra birds programing only the daily flights should help.

Began at my favorite airport, TPE Tao Yuan, Taiwan.  Both EVA Air and China Airlines are completed.  A few flights depart from KHH, Kaohsiung.  Sticking only to each airlines main hubs and not doing any fuel stop flights.  Original plan was to go to each airport and do its main airlines.  But after looking at a few I decided to work around some of the smaller airlines first and get some of the world populated.  So far EVA, China Air, and Oasis Hong Kong are finished.  Began Dragonair routes a little while ago.  All have been figured and are ready for programing.  Only KA flights to and from TPE and KHH are actually in the sky at the moment.  Will have the rest later in the week.  Next plan is to do Virgin America.  Then probably begin some other small US or European flights.  Want to at least get things moving a little in most areas before beginning major airlines such as Air France or American that has multiple hubs.  So it will be awhile before seeing some of the main boys around.  At least I have something other then me flying about.  

Quick flyover of TPE, A lot of gates filled.  Working on a custom AFCAD as well.  Terminal 2 on the right side have all the aircraft aligned with the jet ways.  Assigning airlines to their terminals and through some CFG editing certain aircraft are assigned to specific gates for best alignment.  

My only aligned and assigned side at the moment.  Terminal 2 accommodates CAL, ANA, AAR, CPA, HDA, NWA, SIA, UAL, and EVA.  Terminal 1 will accommodate CAL, KAL, MAS, and THA.  Just like real life.  China Airlines A340 and 747 having a drag race to runway 5.

Couldn't resist doing a quick hop over to Taipei Sung Shan.  Taipei 101 in the hazy distance.  That thing is huge in real life  Unfortunately I didn't get the chance to actually go to the top before I left  Maybe next time


So this project is coming along nicely, but will probably never end.  One thing I could use some help on though.  I am looking for an actual gate map of TPE.  Since I love TPE so much I want to have all gates correct and even the airlines in the right areas.  I'm pretty sure EVA takes one side of Terminal 2 while China Airlines takes the other.  But I want to have it down exact.  So any information about Tao Yuan will be greatly appreciated.  I know which airlines go to which terminal but that is as far as I could get.  I found plenty of terminal maps but could never find one that actually had the gates laid out

I would love some new scenery...especially for Taiwan.  But that is the only freeware I could find for RCTP.  There is a wonderful looking Payware...Samsoft's The Sky Of Taipei.  But at a price of about $27 USD its a bit out of my price at the moment.  It looks like a beautiful scenery, especially TPE, Terminal 2 (The one I arrived to this time last year) Looks just how I remember in real life.  I really want this scenery.  Then again $27 USD for a 17 MB download seems pretty...erm...overpriced.  I'm thinking a lot of default textures will be seen in that package.  So its one to consider but will probably be awhile unless some extra money just falls in to my lap
