Description:
===========================================

The Commonwealth of Dominica (not to be confused with the much larger Dominican Republic), officially nicknamed "The Nature Isle of the Caribbean" lies in the middle of the Lesser Antilles. The largest of the Windward Islands, the indigenous Caribs originally called her "Waitu Kubuli" or "Tall is her body". My rugged island was said to be described by Columbus to Queen Isabella of Spain by crumpling a piece of paper and dropping it on the table.
An apt description for the shear beauty of this island, there is none other like it on this planet. Tourists who truly experience my island go away with a different outlook on the beauty of the world. It is even sometimes hard for me to comprehend how so much beauty can be packed into such a small island. Even traveling to work and back can be a worthwhile experience for a nature lover on this island.
This is what I hoped to capture in the shots to follow.
