I coulda sworn it was a 727 :o

Its actually based on an actual event that happened in 1955. I figured I didn't really have a chance so I wanted to post  a historic moment in "airshow" history.

I heared bout this it was at the unvailing of the plain the test pilot wored some of the guests when he first did it and then on the return trip did it again.  I think the gests and Vips where very happy to be watching from the ground rather then being along for the ride.

I coulda sworn it was a 727

It was a 707 (called "Dash 80" within Boeing). ;)

Actually it was the prototype for the 707 it was called Boeing 367"-80" (dash 80). Thanks for all the comments guys! Its neat that the look of jetliners has pretty much remained unchanged since the 50's

What is even more interesting to me is this thing was still air worthy in 2003:

Yeah, it was airworthy, but they had no way to test the gear, so the flew the whole trip with gear down. Also, he didn't do it intentionally. He got into a turn at high altitude and when he was gona come out of it he decided "meh, what the hell" since he was already half way into the roll why not finish it lol.
