I fly both FSX and FS9. As you all know the water in FS9 is pretty bad. Well I just installed Waterzone for FS9

It didn't do anything to the sky.  I set the time of the day to  right around sunset to get that pinkish cloud effect.

What I meant is that you have these lines in the sky  ;D

I get them every now and then but I have no idea what causes them. If anyone knows please enlighten us

FS 2004:

I have experienced them on the Water, and observed them in others screen shots, in everyone of my various Graphics Cards.

It is the reason why I always set my Water Effects to ZERO...and set the Land+Water Detail to MAX.
That seems to stop all the annoying streaks on the screen... :)...!

"Flightwater Pro" is my preferred FS 2000/FS 2002/FS 2004 Water add-on. No effect on Frame Rates.

Paul....Faster than a streak of light... 8-)

Hi Harold

I see what you are saying now. I don't know either. They seam to have a focal point and then spread out in a uniform pattern. Maybe something with the way the setting sun reflects off the clouds. You are right it don't look natural, but I don't think it has anything to do with the Waterzone addon. Let's hear some possible reasons from the rest of the members.

I have had waterzone for a while and it really looks awesome. I combined it with a couple of other water addons to get what i have now.

example - http://www.simviation.com/cgi-bin/yabb2 ... 974997/4#4 the first couple with the staggerwing.

Well I've been playing around with this sky problem in FS2004. I still think it's something about the sun just before sunset that's making this problem more visible. I don't seem to have this problem with FSX. I took a shot in FS2004 at high noon and one at close to sunset. The sky looks preety much ok

Bob-

Thanks for the pics with the water. I think I've downloaded XtraWater due to some great shots I've seen here, and might try this new one since I'm about to move onto a new build anyway.

HOWEVER.... I think you just cursed me to spending money on FSX I think. That last shot is gorgeous, I forgot that FSX water is to die for! Very very nice shot!  ;D

I've had waterzone for along time but for some reason I can't turn my water detail level all the way up, it stays at medium, and looks pretty gray  :'(
