Hauling football fans back home

Postby mpicco » Thu Aug 09, 2007 11:49 pm

Just found this paint in iFDG's site and brought back memories... Euro 2004 cup for UEFA football (soccer) teams in Portugal!

So I decided to make a little trip bringing fans after the final from Lisbon to London

So on to the shots...

Departing from LPPT, Runway 3, nice shiny weather...

Overflying London, weather ain't that nice anymore

Finally after some fog got rwy 27L in sight, right on glidescope, but a little side winds here.

After touchdown... no touchdown shots this time, it was a little rough

I like the shots but there's something about them that makes them a little vague. I'm not sure if that is the right word.
Everything in your shots is OK and you have a really nice and colorfull bird. But overall they seem to lack detail.

I don't know how else to describe it :-/

I think you might want to talk to Michael Greenblatt ;)

i thought the shots were very nice. you seemed to get some interesting camera angles in there... how did you do them?

Yeah i know what you mean... Well i think you do

I think its the contrast between the detail of the aircraft vs the dull scenary... But at the moment not much i can do bout that... that approach was already done at 7 fps and its really not flyable anymore, if i were to install custom ground textures, better skies or clouds, im pretty sure id have to go back to defaults... Wished i could buy a computer thatd run FSX well but i cant :(
LOL btw am i the only one that thinks the default lightnings look like crap? ^^

About the angles i followed some tutorials here at sim v, which explain how to get wacky angles ^^ they're in the library... I have recorder installed plus some other addons that let you move the camera around, i dont remember where i downloaded them...

I like the angle and attitude of number 2, gives the shot a "live" look to it, like Im right there in the spot plane snapping the shot  ;D  nice work
