Was asked by a pilot friend to drive by road to Innsbruck and take a b247D in united colours (city of Oakland) for a sightseeing flight on the 80 mile route from Innsbruck to Munich.

A clear day but a tricky time picking valleys before gaining enough height to clear the pre-alps.

A large cloud rising from a valley with the high alps snow topped in the distance

flying over a mountain town. the cloud seems to be right down to street level

leaving the alps and bavarian mountains behind and heading out over the plain to munich airport.

Much cloudier over Munich, the crosswind was strong but not too bad managed to hold but had to land fast and a bit high. A few sighhtsee-ers looked a little green exiting the plane at gate 163 Munich.
