But can all Germans speak French? Likewise, is there any reason why all French people should speak German?

Back on-topic, those shots are lovely, they really show off the C-17 in all its majesty!

Why does a plane always look better when it isn't wearing American markings? ;D (Joke)

I was a C-17 Jet Engine Mechanic in the USAF from 92-97. I have the payware version so this is a must have. I love the shots! Wish there was one of the flightdeck. Guess I'll check out their site to see if there are any screenies to look at while I'm at work. Great work!

In southern Germany we had a pupils exchange programm with France. So we learned French and they learned German. And in the Alsace region in France most elderly people can also speak German.
But I see what you wanna say, I didn't mean it in general...., good joke btw... ;D.

You'll reach fsfrance at

Haven't seen many C-17 in real life, but they look awesome :)

Cheers,
Fabian

I've seen them at a few airshows. They demonstrate short take-offs/landings. The last one I saw reversed its engines and sucked up the water off the runway.

Here's a shot of it doing the same thing in Australia:

I used to hate when they would do that. My crew and I were on night shift and they used to land then get there TR time before taxi to parking. Anytime you saw or heard them do that you just knew you were blade blending all night long from the sand and what have you they would suck up doing that. Followed by a full TR inspection per engine. Fun fun fun!

I went to FSfrance but even translated to English it's not taking me to a place where I can view the model/panel. Or download it for that matter. Did I do something wrong?

As far as I know, about one fifth of german students learns French in school, same goes for french students learning German.

I had six years of French in school, btw.

Nice pictures there, that C-17 has a beast of an engine can any other aircraft do that water sucker thing?
By the way the aircraft works fine in FSX, any one know a payware C-17?
