I'd arrived at El SimV, the pizzeria where Krigl and I would dine. We were due to meet at 7PM, but 2 hours passed before I got some bad news. The phone rang - it was Krigl. He said:

Spyro, Spyro!! We're nearly at Venice but I'm hallucinating something terrible. I can hardly keep control of the plane and we're probably going to come down in the lagoon as there's no way I can put this down on any runway in this state!

I began to panic, but shortly after I got another call - from the airport. They'ed heard of Krigl's splash and asked me to pilot their Westland Wessex to get him from the Chipmunk.




Soon I was off, but I was never that good at flying choppers...




I banked over and dropped down low above the lagoon - we believe Krigl went down somewhere around here...



Aha! There's the Chipmunk!






I dropped the Wessex and the rescue team leapt out onto their ropes. They pulled Krigl and his grandfather onboard - it wasn't a pretty sight...




It was a fairly bumpy ride back to LIPZ, but I was in a hurry and wanted to get Krigl and his grandfather to hospital as fast as I could. Fortunately there were ambulances waiting for me when I arrived back at the airport...



I just hope they'll be OK!

I'm sure they'll be just fine  :D

Would love to have pizza with you guys!

However, I'm stuck at Keflavik International Airport (nasty weather) in Iceland on my around the world trip in my Howard 500. Don't know if I'll fly into Venice.  Just picking a spot on the globe and away I go
