American Russians
Posted: Sun May 20, 2007 3:47 pmI was quite pleased to see that Vistaliners updated their 737-500, but was a bit disappointed that nobody'd made any Russian paints for her. So I decided to take matters into my own hands and paint a few of the many 735's that were born in America, but emigrated eastward to begin new lives in Russia.
I started small with Aeroflot-Don, only had to add the logo and a few other details.
S7 Airlines was a bit more difficult, mainly because of the silhouetted people on the side (which had to be partially hand-drawn).
Aeroflot-Nord was probably the hardest of the three. It started off easy, but matching up the stripe to the tail ended up being something of a challenge.
